Being too focused on one particular thing, even if it is beneficial, will actually slow you down in your personal development. Too much of one thing will prevent us from living the most effective life possible. You must find the right balance for yourself, and view your life as a democracy rather than a dictatorship. One thing cannot rule your life, you must be for the people or “the person”.
While I have pointed out that there is certainly nothing wrong with being a certain way or being known for one particular thing, I can’t help but think about the stagnation and complacency that comes along with that.
The process to happiness, just like becoming an athlete is a process and you have to focus in on the training. You must focus in on the things that make you happy. If nothing makes you happy then you must do some serious soul searching and step away from your daily routine to find your happiness. It may not make sense to others but ultimately it will be the most important thing you ever do in your life and will shape your actions and attitude for the remainder of your life.
