In this episode we are joined by Coach David Edwards. Coach Edwards is currently the varsity head coach at Crocket High School in Austin, Texas. Coach Edwards has a lot of experience in coaching where he has spent time coaching soccer and running a youth basketball program. In this episode Coach Edwards talks about how hard it is to become a head coach, how he got the position he currently holds, making changes in a new program, the difference between being a first year and now second year head coach, how to recognize effort, when to use encouragement and when to get into your players, and how to show your passion as a coach.

“What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player.” – John Wooden.

We want to provide consultation to basketball coaches and teams to help them establish or improve their player development programs. We want to be a place where coaches, players, and really athletes of all kind come to receive tools, guidance, and support for their mindset development and mental health.
