In this episode we are joined by coach Andy Fitzgerald. Coach Fitzgerald is currently the head coach at the University school of Milwaukee. Coach Fitzgerald has had a very interesting journey in becoming a head coach. He worked odd jobs like mowing fairways, bussing tables, and eve becoming a full-time professor to pursue coaching. He has a lot of experience with analytics, as he has served as the analytics director for a professional basketball team. He also was a special assistant at UW-Milwaukee for Coach Patrick Baldwin where he got to focus on analytics and help work with Pat Baldwin Jr. who was a first-round pick of the Golden State Warriors in the 2022 NBA Draft.
We also discuss how he has been able to market and promote himself to grab the attention of college and NBA coaches. He has created many scouting reports and film breakdowns to help other coaches out. We also talk about what he looks for in players who want to come to his program. We end the conversation by talking about how to avoid overloading yourself with information and why the state of Wisconsin produces so many big, slow white guys.

“What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player.” – John Wooden.

We want to provide consultation to basketball coaches and teams to help them establish or improve their player development programs. We want to be a place where coaches, players, and really athletes of all kind come to receive tools, guidance, and support for their mindset development and mental health.
